How to Cook Puto or Steamed Cake



Potoshot is a food recipe made of flour or any rice flour. The texture of this food is smooth and has an aromatic flavor that is perfect for merienda.


The preparation process of this kind of snack does not require an extensive one because the procedures of cooking are very easy.


INGREDIENTS



COOKING PROCEDURES

Step 1

Make a mixture with all the stated ingredients. You may add food coloring according to your desire. Stir it well. Cover then leave it for 15 minutes.





Step 2

Fill each potoshot container with mixture then let them steam for 10 minutes to cook.





Step 3

When the potoshot is fluffy, it is cooked already.

PIZZA ROLL Recipe (Homemade Business)



Pizza Roleta is  a homemade pizza made of bread and  hotdog. This is an ideal snack for homemade business because you can easily prepare it at home or at your cooking establishment. Pizza roleta is an adaptation of many homemade pizza rolls.

COOKING PROCEDURES

Step 1.

Using a roller  or any round bottle, flatten first the sliced bread. After that, you may put hotdog and cheese in it then roll to cover.







Step 2

Coat the rolled raw pizza with egg.






Step 3

Coat also the rolled raw  pizza with bread crumbs.




Step 4. Deep fry the rolled raw pizza until golden brown. Then after that, it is ready to serve.

PARROT FISH RIBS NUGGETS RECIPE



Parrot Fish Ribs Nugget is a kind of food recipe that is a good source of calories and protein. It contains loaded ingredients making it to be an all-in one food.


  Parrot Fish ribs is another off product when filleting. The ribs of parrot fish still contain ample amount of meat which is still essential for cooking.

COOKING PROCEDURES


Step 1

In a large container, combine all ingredients . Mix well to attain the desire result of consistency.








Step 2

Make dough out of the mixture. Use your bare hands to make nugget-like shape.






Step 3

In a pan, heat cooking oil then deep fry the raw nuggets.




Step 4

When the nuggets are in golden brown color, then it is cooked and ready to serve.

CHICHAMUL (PARROT FISH SKIN CRACKERS)



CHICHAMUL comes from the words chicharon which means cracker and mulmul which means Parrot Fish. Typically, Chichamul is  made of parrot fish skin which  we turn it into a cracker.


  Parrot  fish skin is an off product  from fish processing plant. Instead of throwing it, some companies are utilizing parrot fish skin to make another product which can be sold locally. Chichamul can be an example. A term coined by yours truly.


  Some species of Parrot fish are not allowed to catch in the Philippines because they are endangered. You can visit the city agriculturist office or the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to know the type of species  allowed.

PREPARATION:




Sun-drying method is a natural process to make a chichamul. After cleaning the parrot skin thoroughly, you can let it dry under the heat of the sun for two days or more depending on the weather and how dry is the clean parrot fish skin.



COOKING PROCEDURES

Heat adequate amount of cooking oil in  a frying pan or any cooking container ideal for frying crackers.




When the cracker turns semi-golden brown color, then it is cooked and ready to serve. 








Chichamul is best served with pinakurat or vinegar Enjoy!

CASSAVA SUMAN RECIPE (Zamboangueño Style)


Suman Camanting or Sweetened Cassava Cake

Suman Camanting is a cassava cake wrapped with banana leaves. This is also a traditional filipino native delicacy commonly sold after sunday mass. This kind of food is also a good source of carbohydrates.

                                                                    INGREDIENTS


            GRATED CASSAVA                                                            COCONUT MILK


            CONDENSED MILK                                                         BROWN SUGAR


                MUSCOVADO                                                         BANANA LEAVES


                                                  


                                                    COOKING PROCEDURES



Step 1. Grate cassava tuber then remove its juice to eliminate its high content of toxic substance called cyanide using any clean cloth.


Step 2

Combine all ingredients into a large container. Mix them well.


Step 3

Take a spoonful of the mixture then wrapped it with banana leaf. 



Step 4

Put all raw suman in a cooking pot. Fill it with potable water to cover. Cook it under fire for an hour or more to achieve cooking perfection.




Step 5. Ready to serve.
